We ran three checks against primary sources, most recently on 29 August 2026: the UK Gambling Commission register, the Curaçao Gaming Authority registry, and the operator’s own domain. All three answered this time. The third one had refused us for the previous five days, which turns out to be a finding in itself.

Where this lands

Mostbet holds no Great Britain licence. Its Curaçao licence exists, and the regulator has recorded it as under assessment in every edition of the register we have read since May. The operator’s own site opened to us on 21 August after five days of refusing, and its footer names that same licence while calling itself licensed and regulated. We publish no recommendation.

What we verified

Check Source Result
Great Britain licence UKGC public register, downloaded 29 Aug 2026 No record in 2,653 business accounts, 2,436 trading names or 2,243 domains
Curaçao licence Curaçao Gaming Authority registry, 27 Aug 2026, entry 338 OGL/2024/597/0249, Bizbon N.V., B2C — assessment in progress, unchanged across five editions since May
Legal entity Registry entry, and the operator’s own footer Bizbon N.V., company registration 141081 — both sources agree
Site access Direct requests, 21 Aug 2026 200 from our connection in Latvia, 204 from our server in the United States
iOS app Apple App Store search API, GB storefront, 16 Aug 2026 No Mostbet app listed

Each of these is reproducible. The registers are public downloads, the HTTP status is a single request, and the App Store query is a public API. Our methodology sets out how we treat a source that cannot be reached.

The App Store line keeps its 16 August date on purpose. When we tried to repeat it on 17 August, Apple’s API answered 403 to us — including to the bet365 query we use as a control. A control that fails means the method failed, not that the answer changed, so we left the earlier result standing with its own date rather than restating it as today’s.

Licence identity

The licence Mostbet holds is not the one most affiliate material shows. Older pages — and the original design of this site — cite Curaçao eGaming 8048/JAZ, which belongs to the regime Curaçao ran before 2024. The current registry entry is OGL/2024/597/0249, issued to Bizbon N.V. on 23 September 2025, and its recorded status is assessment in progress rather than active.

That distinction matters more than the number. A licence under assessment is not a licence confirmed. Since 20 August we can quote the operator directly rather than paraphrasing it: its footer says “mostbet.com is licensed and regulated by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (license OGL/2024/597/0249)” — the same number, described as settled, in a register that does not describe it that way.

There is a second detail in the same row. The registry’s Expires column reads 23 March 2026, a date that has passed, and the status beside it has not changed. We do not read that as the licence having expired, because the Authority marks 31 other entries Expired and did not mark this one. We read it as what it is: an end date gone by, and a review the regulator has not closed. Full detail and the register extract are on licence and safety.

What we still cannot tell you, and why

Until 20 August this section had one cause: mostbet.com answered HTTP 451 and we could not open anything. That changed. The site now loads for us, and the list of things we cannot verify is shorter and differently shaped.

The one we will not guess about: Great Britain

Our checking connection exits in Latvia, and our server sits in the United States. On the same day, the first gets the full site and the second gets an empty 204. Since the operator’s answer depends on where you ask from, nothing we observe describes what a visitor in Britain would see. We do not have a British vantage point, so that line stays empty rather than filled with an assumption.

An earlier version of this site described these checks as coming “from a UK-facing connection.” That was wrong. It is corrected here and on licence and safety, and logged in the verification log.

Every access observation we hold, with the country and date of each, is on why Mostbet is not working — including what an empty HTTP 204 looks like in a browser, and why mostbet.co.uk is not the operator’s domain.

The ones that are now measurable, and simply not measured yet

These were blocked by the 451. They are no longer blocked, they are just work we have not done:

  • Deposit and withdrawal methods, limits and fees
  • Observed withdrawal processing times
  • Wagering multiplier, maximum stake, game contribution and expiry on any bonus
  • Catalogue size, game providers and published RTP figures
  • KYC requirements and when they are triggered
  • Support channels and response times

When we do publish them, each figure will carry the same caveat this page now carries: it is what the operator served to a request from Latvia, on a stated date. A geo-gated site can show different terms to different countries, and quoting one country’s terms as if they were universal is exactly the sloppiness this site exists to avoid.

What the operator’s own terms say about British customers

Everything above is about what a regulator has or has not recorded. This is different: it is the operator’s own contract. Mostbet’s General Terms list the citizenships it will not accept, and the United Kingdom is on that list, alongside Australia, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, the United States and others.

It is a citizenship rule rather than a residence one, so it follows a British citizen wherever they live. Nothing checks it at sign-up. It surfaces at verification, which the same terms require before any withdrawal is processed.

We are not in a position to stop anyone doing anything, and we are not trying to. An adult can read a contract and decide for themselves. The operator says the same, in the same document: compliance with local law is “the Client’s sole responsibility”, and it “does not hold any responsibility” if a law is broken. Our job is that you meet the clause before you deposit rather than after you ask for the money back. The detail, and what the contract does and does not say about the balance, is on payments.

What this means for a reader in Great Britain

Licensing decides what happens when something goes wrong, not how a site looks when it works.

  • No Commission complaints route. The Commission handles complaints about businesses it licenses. It has no jurisdiction here.
  • No approved ADR. Licensed operators must belong to an alternative dispute resolution scheme that can rule on a disputed withdrawal. That does not apply.
  • GAMSTOP does not reach. National self-exclusion binds Commission licensees only.
  • No customer-funds statement. Licensees must publish how customer money is held and what happens if the company fails.

Common questions

Is Mostbet licensed in the UK?

No. We downloaded the Gambling Commission’s own register on 29 August 2026 and searched all three files: 2,653 business accounts, 2,436 trading names and 2,243 domains. Mostbet, Bizbon N.V. and mostbet.com return zero matches in every one. Our control search for a known licensee still returns matches, so the nil result is a real nil result.

What licence does Mostbet hold?

A Curaçao one: OGL/2024/597/0249, held by Bizbon N.V. The operator’s own footer names that same number and calls itself licensed and regulated. The Curaçao register records the status as “assessment in progress” and shows an end date of 23 March 2026, which has passed. Five register editions since May say the same thing.

Can UK players use Mostbet?

The operator’s General Terms list the United Kingdom among the citizenships it does not accept. What you do with that is your decision and we cannot affect it either way, but the clause is in the contract you would be agreeing to, and citizenship is checked at the verification step that comes before any withdrawal.

Is Mostbet safe?

Not a question we can answer with a yes or a no, so here is what is checkable instead. There is no Gambling Commission licence, therefore no Commission complaints route, no UK-approved dispute resolution and no GAMSTOP coverage. Independent dispute resolution under the operator’s own terms starts at EUR 1,000, so smaller disputes end with the operator’s own decision.

Is Mostbet legit?

It is a real operator with a real licence, and that licence is not a British one. Bizbon N.V. appears in the Curaçao register under OGL/2024/597/0249, which settles that the company and the licence exist. What the register does not say is that the licence is confirmed: five editions since May record it as under assessment, with an end date that passed in March. On the Great Britain register there is no entry at all. So “legit” splits into two answers — a genuine company, and no permission to serve British consumers.

Does Mostbet have a UK app?

No Mostbet app appeared in the United Kingdom App Store when we searched Apple’s public API on 16 August 2026, while the same method found a known licensee’s app. Android distribution runs through the operator’s own site, which has been refusing our requests for most of the period since.

Conclusion

On the evidence we hold: a Curaçao licence that four registry editions in a row record as under assessment, an end date on it that passed in March, no Great Britain licence on a register we downloaded ourselves, no app in the UK store, and a site whose door opens or closes depending on which country asks. We do not classify Mostbet as licensed for Great Britain and we publish no recommendation to register or deposit.

If you are in Great Britain and want an operator you can complain about when it goes wrong, the Commission’s public register lists every licensed one. If you are gambling more than you meant to, limits, blocks and free 24-hour support are one page away.
